What is session booking?

Teasy lights? Balayage? Stretched root? It’s so hard to keep up on all the terminology let alone know what to book at a hair salon. That’s where our sessions come in. Instead of booking for individual services, you book your stylist for their time. All you need is a general idea of what you’re looking to accomplish with your hair goals. This gives the stylist the ability to determine exactly what services and techniques will achieve the desired result you’re looking for without affecting the amount of money you planned to spend. Still not sure what to book? Our New Client Consultation is perfect for chatting with your stylist and coming up with a plan together!

Bonus: Since we charge for our time, we don’t double book. And, Polite Society is a gratuity-free salon, so the service price is all you need to pay. Hurray!

OK….but how do I know what session I need?

Along with fun names, all of our sessions have examples of services you may receive in that amount of time listed below their name. Each stylist has a different hourly rate based on experience and knowledge, so you know how much to plan on spending when you are in their chair.

Our Sessions

The Meet Up - 1 Hour               Starting at $40

Book this 1-hour time slot if you are wanting:

  • Maintenance haircut

  • Gloss + blowdry (no cut)

  • Scalp treatment + blowdry (no cut)

Taking Tea - 1.5 Hours Starting at $60

This 1.5-hour time slot is perfect for:

  • Transformational haircut

  • Curly haircut with diffusing

  • Gloss + haircut

  • Scalp treatment + haircut

Book Club - 2 Hours Starting at $80

This 2-hour time slot is perfect if you are wanting:

  • Root color retouch + blowdry (no cut)

  • Major haircut transformation + have extra thick or extra long hair.

The Jam Session - 2.5 Hours Starting at $100

This 2.5-hour time slot is great for:

  • Root color retouch + haircut.

  • All over solid color from root to ends + blowdry (add-on cut at stylist’s discretion w/ time permitting)

  • Partial foil highlights/lowlights + blowdry (cut not included)

The Adventure - 4 Hours Starting at $160

This 4-hour time slot is great for:

  • Full blonding service using a variety of techinques. ex: foil highlighting, balayage, foiliage, root melting

  • Complete cut and color transformation. This can include foil highlights, balayage, glosses, vivids,

  • Haircut at stylist’s discretion based on your needs and time permitting.

The Deep Talk - 3 Hours Starting at $120

Book this 3-hour session for one of the following:

  • Partial foil highlights/lowlights + cut

  • All over solid color + cut

  • Face framing balayage + cut

The All Nighter - 5 Hours Starting at $300

This 5-hour session is usually best for:

  • Corrective color work. Use of foil highlights, balayage and blonding, or color removal/deposit color can be included in this. Add-ons of treatments and haircuts is at stylist's discretion based on your needs and time permitting.

  • Those looking to go head to toe blonde. Add-ons of vivids, treatments or haircut is at stylist's discretion based on your needs and time permitting.
